Application: How do I apply for a loan (or for opening a depository account) on Happy Mango?

You can use your smartphone or a computer with internet connection to apply for a loan (or for opening a new depository account) on Happy Mango. This process usually takes no more than 5 minutes.  It could longer if you do not have all the required documents on hand.  Here are the steps:

1. Sign Up an Account on Happy Mango

Most users are referred to Happy Mango by a financial institution, a financial counselor or a financial coach.  In such cases, your referral source would provide you a QR code or a URL to sign up a Happy Mango account.  On the sign up page, you would see on top of the page the organization logo and other information that identifies your referral source.  

If you do not have a referral, you can also sign up using this generic URL: https://user.happymangocredit.com/#signup.  When signing up with the generic URL, you would first answer a few questions so that our system can match you with the best financial products.  

2. Choose a Product to Apply

Once you have completed the sign up process, you can log into your new account, then click on the link on the Dashboard or click on "Get a Product" on the left bar menu to view all the financial products available for you to apply.

3. Review the Requirements Before Applying

After you have selected the financial product to apply, the first few screens will provide you information on the eligibility and requirements for this product. Please read them carefully.  If you do not meet these requirements, your application will be declined.  

You will also find on top of the page the list of documents that you will be asked to upload.  Make sure to have these documents handy will save you time as you complete your application.

4. Complete the 5-Step Application

The 5-step application begins after you click on the "Apply" button.  If you need to change or edit any information you have entered in an earlier step, you can click on any of the five green bubbles to return to that step.  The information or data fields required to complete for each application is determined by the financial institution and will differ from product to product.  All required data fields must be completed on each page before you can move to the next step. 

After you start an application, the application will remain open and available for you to edit before it expires.  Most incomplete applications expire in 30 days.

5. Stay on Top of Your Application

After you have completed and submitted an application, you will see a confirmation page with the estimated time when you will hear from the financial institution.  You will also receive a confirmation email explaining the next steps.  When the financial institution has completed its review, you will receive another email notification prompting you to log into your Happy Mango account to review the decision on your application.
